Hanging Out in the Hospital

We had a much shorter hospital stay this time so we hung out in the hospital on Sunday with Francie and our parents before packing up to go home Monday morning! Our pediatrician, Dr. Cisco came by Saturday afternoon after Maisie was born but was going out of town the next day so we got to see his partner Dr. Noland Sunday and Monday too. Heff got some good snacks to keep us busy eating and we just enjoyed the quiet time. Francie came back and forth with Jannie and found her new stroller waiting for her and her doll (now named "Honey") and was crusing the halls showing off for the nurses!

Francie gave a little tiny doll to her little tiny sister (good thinking Jannie ;)

Honey has a stroller blanket just like Maisie's!

"Come on Jannie let's blow this joint."

Swaddled up to hang with mom and dad after big sister leaves

My original doctor (for Francie) Nicole Hong stopped by to say hello! I had to switch since her practice wouldn't let their doctors to VBAC's but she was at the hospital while we were delivering and said she was watching my strip from the nurses station the whole delivery! She is great :)

We started on the binky Sunday too... Francie didn't every really get that into them but this baby seems to want to pacify! Jannie made a trip to Day One for us for these "Naturesutten" natural rubber binkies, all the crazy for the under three-days old crowd

It's good to be a baby :) So this is Maisie's "Shiloh blanket" Jannie and I made together (she did all the hard work- I only knit a few squares!) We saw little Shiloh Jolie-Pitt in a magazine with a crochet version two years ago when I was pregnant with Francie and decided to try our own version... it took awhile! Jannie stayed up until 1am last week sewing ALL the little squares together, it's so soft- I love the blanket and I think Maisie does too.
