Summer Days
/We've been soaking in the lazy days of summer... I am getting scared for our first real pre-school days that start in the Fall. For now I am loving our no schedule, lounging around, doing not too much of anything days. We are staying up late, sleeping in later, playing in the creek, walking to the Nature Preserve, hanging out downtown, and the girls are still loving every "Emmy Day" while I get some work done in the mornings. She hits up library storytime/dance hour, helicopter park, the sprinklers at the soccer field, Jamba Juice and TOO much fun stuff. This is how the girls spend most of their lazy summer days...
or building boats with power tools when Dad's not looking ;) ...
splashing in the princess pool...
getting spoiled on popsicles...
warming up on the flagstone (does JJ look bigger than Maisie here?!)
having too much fun with Emmy...
enjoying quiet time afternoons...
changing outfits and accessories 10 times a day...
(love the bohemian look France)
writing mom a letter to say "Dear Mom, your iPhone is not working. July 2." one morning when Francie woke up in the 7's and mom wanted to sleep a little more so she forked over her iPhone to keep her quiet for awhile - until it froze and was not working that is :)
doing projects... (we "learned" about the solar system and then painted tap-lights like every planet for their room - more painting than learning but we tried to throw it in there)
heading off for nature camp one week in the mornings - Maisie's first time to a whole week of "school" or camp...
and coming home tired, sweaty and DIRTY from farm school (with pet tadpoles in jelly jars that lasted about 20 minutes)...
partying in JJ's crib (with their cute new name pillows from Olliegraphic...
sneaking in some solo mom and JJ time while the girls were at camp...
working hard at Bumble to earn some quarters (saving up for the arcade opening next month!) ...
and helping test new menu recipes like African Nectar Iced Tea and Green Super Juice Elixers! (new menu items on breakfast, lunch and dinner. come try.)
getting archery lessons from Dad ('cause every one year old should know this skill :) ...
riding home in style from the park...
and crashing at the end of the long, hot summer days... don't go by too fast summer!!
