Last week we went to Disneyland for the Cars Land opening at California Adventure - it was so awesome!! The girls are big fans of the Cars movie and the new rides and "land" didn't disappoint. We had been trying to plan a trip for Maisie's belated 3rd birthday (since we went for Francie's 3rd birthday) and this was a great time to come. Even Heff and I have tons of fun at Disney - and we are huge dorks and wear matching Mickey t-shirts, yup we are those people you make fun of and proud of it :)

We were there early for the opening night "red carpet premier" but we went into the park while all red carpet stuff was going on- good move when the girls discovered the "REAL" McQueen and Tow-mater hiding out waiting for their big entrance... they were flashing their lights and talking to us - asking Francie and Maisie if they were twins ;)

Day 2 - Thursday we were up bright and early for 8am breakfast at Critters Cafe

and this one- JJ napped on Heff's back in the Ergo so we didn't miss any daytime action (we went back to the hotel to try and take a rest but girls were too amp-ed up so we went for a quick swim/waterslide, changed by them by the pool and went back into the park - hard core Disney day)

after this we did Downtown Disney and had a late dinner at Rainforest Cafe - back to the room at 10:30pm - that was a full day!! (and I wore flip flops - paying for it now)

and catching the last bit of Disney we could Friday morning before we went home... Heff worked from 4:30am-10am before we left so we could make this trip happen - what a good Dad!
